We were thinking about doing Animal Kingdom and Epcot in one day. What are your thoughts and do you think this is even possible?

    Hi, Michelle!

My family loves to park hop, so more often than not we visit more than one theme park in a day. If you plan ahead, you can squeeze in a lot!

If the two parks you plan on visiting are Epcot and Disney's Animal Kingdom, I would start my day at Animal Kingdom since most days, Epcot is open later so you can get in a few extra hours of fun.

Plan to get to Animal Kingdom 15-20 minutes prior to opening. Once the park opens, your first two attractions should be Kilimanjaro Safaris or Expedition Everest. Other attractions to get to early will be Kai River Rapids and Dinosaur. Other attractions have a pretty steady wait time (not too long) for most of the day. Enjoy a quick service lunch, then mid-day, take a bus over to Epcot.

When making your plans, book your FastPass+ experiences for Epcot.  I suggest using your FastPass+ Tier One selection for Frozen Ever After. Test Track is also a good choice, but if you choose the "single rider" option, you can usually get on this attraction in under about 30 minutes. Soarin' lines will be shorter later at night, so hold off waiting for that until evening.

You might even want to make a dining reservation for one of the World Showcase restaurants. So you do not waste too much time eating, perhaps a buffet for dinner, the Biergarten Restaurant in Germany. A buffet usually gets you in and out pretty fast. If you want to stick to quick service, my family loves getting fish and chips in England or nachos and tacos in Mexico.

Remember that in order to visit two different theme parks in one day, you must have the Park Hopper option on your park ticket. I hope you have a fun filled day at these two amazing theme parks!
