We were thinking of going to disneyland on thanksgiving day. Is it crowded? Is there anything special Disney does that day to celebrate the holiday. We are actually thinking of going wednesday - thursday (thanksgiving).

    Hello Gina!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you are having a magical week!

Last year my son and I visited Disneyland Resort the day after Thanksgiving. I haven’t personally been on the day of, but typically the crowds are lower and many dining locations offering special meals on Thanksgiving. The Disney Parks Blog has a great comprehensive list of locations and what they are offering. You can try to walk up for dining without reservations, or check online to see if reservations are still available for the places you’d like to visit.

All of the holiday decorations and themes start November 13, 2015 so everything will look merry and bright! There are always some fun holiday twists to classic attractions as well. My favorites being the decorations at it’s a small world, The Haunted Mansion and the Jingle Cruise.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your visit!

    See you real soon!
