Thinking about going to Disney with my 26 year old niece for 2 days. Do we have to do all of this planning or can we just wing it?

    Hi Melinda!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Flexibility is the key to making a trip to Walt Disney World Resort work with minimal planning! I think FastPass+ reservations for our must-do attractions is on the top of my planning list. By booking your 3 FastPass+ reservations via the My Disney Experience website or mobile app, you will be able to ensure you and your niece will be able to see the high priority things on your list while leaving plenty of unscheduled time to explore.

The planning required for your meals depends on the types of dining you want to experience and how flexible you are. If you want to enjoy quick service meals during your trip, no advanced planning is required. If you are interested in table service restaurants, they generally have very long wait times if you do not have a reservation and I would recommend that you book reservations for any table service meals you are interested in. If you are flexible in your dining times, it is always easier to find reservations at non-peak dining hours, such as 10:30 a.m. breakfast or 2 p.m. lunch. I have even been known to score a same-day reservation using the My Disney Experience mobile app when my family has been flexible about where and when we eat. For our spontaneous trips, my family selects 1 or 2 table service restaurants that I make reservations for and the rest of our meals are at quick service restaurants. We even have some days where we snack through the parks all day instead of eating big meals.

    Have a magical day!
