We are thinking of going to Disney World in August. We have 4 kids ages 5, 4, 2 and a half and 1. We are looking at staying at Disney Art of Animation. What do you think. Is it too far away from the theme parks. would it be too much driving around?

    Hi Marilena,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you have some magical plans in the works.

I think you have made a wonderful choice to stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. We just stayed there a couple of weeks ago and were blown away by the theming, pools and convenience of driving or taking the bus to the parks.

On a map it looks far away from the main attractions, but we really did not have an issue with the travel times to and from the parks. The busses run all day and if you prefer driving your own vehicle, you'll save even more time.

If you are traveling in August, you'll definitely want to make sure to save plenty of time for splashing in The Big Blue Pool and walking around to take pictures of all the incredible themes around the resort. It truly is like stepping inside of an animated movie!

Disney's Art of Animation Resort is one of our favorites for young children. For our family, seeing their faces light up at the sight of this colorful Resort makes it worth an extra few minutes on the bus.

Whatever you decide, I am wishing you a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation with your family. Please let us know if we can help you any further as you plan!
