Ahoy Kristina - welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for swimming by with your question for our team of panelists. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical, Disney Cruise Line adventures!
I've enjoyed two sailings on the
brand-new Disney Wish and let me just tell you, you're in for an amazing experience! It's the Disney Cruise Line experience you've always loved, but with brand-new entertainment and dining options, amazing staterooms, unique activities and experiences, and so much more!
One space that has received an amazing update is
Edge, the Youth Club for Guests ages 11 to 14. I can totally understand why your daughter doesn't want to be left out of the fun if her other friends are hanging out in Edge. Kristina, at the end of the day you should approach this situation with the understanding that the Youth Counselors at Edge use age restrictions for a reason, and will likely enforce them. That being said, I know many friends who have sailed the high seas in similar circumstances and they gave me some advice to pass along to you!
They said it never hurts to check in with the Youth Counselors at the club to explain the situation. Based on your daughter's maturity, and the judgment of the Youth Counselors, it's possible that she will be able to join her friends with your permission. I think this is good advice, and something that you should consider - just know that your mileage may vary!
I hope this information helps your planning efforts –
stop by any time with additional questions! Oh, and before I forget, make sure to check out all the magical excitement surrounding Disney Cruise Line’s
Silver Anniversary at Sea!
Bon voyage!
