Hello. Thinking of going to Disney from October 29- November 5th, 2014. Are there any special events or conventions going on that would cause the crowds to be higher at that time? Thanks!

    Hi Marie:

There are two big Disney rules that I believe in.  The first is to wear comfortable shoes.  The second is that while Disney World always has crowds, crowds tend to be lightest when schools are in session.

During the dates that you will be in Disney World, just about every school will be in session, so I would expect lighter than normal crowds.   Usually the Disney Wine and Dine Half-Marathon is held in early November, but I don't anticipate that event resulting in noticeably longer lines if it's held while you are visiting.

    Enjoy your vacation.
