Ahoy, Andrea!
I'm so happy to hear you're considering a Disney Cruise with your daughters. They are at great ages to enjoy a Disney Cruise Line vacation to the fullest!
Dining on a Disney ship is usually a great experience for children and parents alike. With rotational dining, you'll dine in a different restaurant each night, and your servers rotate with you. Your dining room team will learn your favorites, know your names, and are happy to fill special requests when they can! My daughters have grown attached to our servers on each cruise, getting photos with them and talking about them for weeks post-cruise.
Your fidgety diner is sure to be entertained by the servers as well as the interactive, fun atmosphere in the dining rooms. If you're worried she can't sit still for the whole meal, you can always request her food be served early. Our youngest is always in a hurry to get to the
Oceaneer Club after dinner, so we have them bring her food first. She's usually finished by the time we're finishing our entrees, and I walk her to the kids' club before they serve dessert. It's a win-win - she gets to go play and we get to relax and have dessert at the end of our meal!
For families with second dinner seating, children can take part in Dine and Play. Let your server know when you arrive that your child will be participating - their meal will be served early, and Youth Counselors will come to the dining room and escort them to the kids' club while parents enjoy their meal at a more leisurely pace.
Please come back and visit the Moms Panel if you have any more questions - we're happy to help!
Have a magical day! - Diane W.
