We are thinking about dining at Ohana during our trip but have kids that don't eat that kind of food! Are there other options and do they cost the same ?

Hi, Melissa!  Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

I'm so happy to have the opportunity to help you today because 'Ohana is one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort restaurants, and like you, I am also the mom of a picky eater.  My teenage son is on the autism spectrum, and he is very set in his ways when it comes to what he likes to eat.  He enjoys your standard kids' menu foods and is not willing to branch out and try new things.  I was really concerned when he aged out of kids' menus at Walt Disney World Resort, but I'm happy to tell you that the restaurant Cast Members have always gone above and beyond to make sure that my son has something he likes to eat.

While menu substitutions are at the Cast Members' discretion and will be dependent on what they have on hand in their kitchen, in my personal experience, we have always been able to order my son some kid-friendly fare at 'Ohana.  When you are seated at the restaurant, just be sure to ask your server about options for your kiddos.  In the past, my son has been able to enjoy chicken nuggets and french fries while the rest of the family feasted on delicious grilled meats, pork dumplings, and the famous 'Ohana noodles.  Since dinner at 'Ohana is a fixed-price, all-you-care-to-enjoy meal, the pricing will be the same regardless of any substitutions.  All Guests ages 3-9 will pay the same children's price and Guests ages 10 and up will pay the same adult price no matter what they order.  Current pricing for 'Ohana can be found on the online menu.

Be sure to save room for dessert!  The 'Ohana bread pudding, one of my most beloved Disney foods, is heavenly.  After enjoying your dinner at 'Ohana, I definitely recommend exploring Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.  The laid-back island vibes make this resort hotel my favorite, and the resort's beaches offer a great view of the Magic Kingdom Park fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant.

If you have any additional questions as you prepare for your trip, please come back and visit us again.  Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
