    I am thinking about a 3 day land 4 day cruise in May 2010 Is this a good time of year to go on a cruise? First time want it to be great!

    May is a wonderful time to take a Caribbean cruise. You’ll find daily highs averaging around 84 with lows about  72. While this is the start of the rainy season, you’ll likely only see passing rain, if any. The chance for thunderstorms is even less. The average monthly rain fall is approximately 5 inches.

    Since May is before the high season of Summer, you may even find some land/sea package deals that are enticing from the beginning of the month until mid-May. Once schools across the country begin dismissing students for Summer vacation in late May and throughout June, then Walt Disney World and the Disney Cruise Line become increasingly crowded.

    An early May vacation should yield some cost-savings, nice weather and lower crowds!
