Thinking about a Cruise with Disney. I love the idea, but I'm a little worried. My 8-year-old boy doesn't speak english. Will he be able to enjoy the kids club anyway? Is there someone who speak french always there or can we stay with him in the club?

    Ahoy, Annie!

Because the Disney Cruise Line (DCL) crew hail from all over the world, there are many languages spoken throughout the ships. Most likely, someone will be able to interpret what your child is saying and how the counselors can best meet his needs. To be confident, make sure you note that he speaks only French when you register him for the Oceaneer's Club/Lab and on your reservation. Plus, when you visit the youth clubs on Embarkation Day, you'll want to introduce your little guy to the counselors and ask if there is someone who can interpret.

To make you feel at ease, all four of my children -- who speak English and only a little Spanish -- have made many friends who speak little or no English while at the DCL youth clubs. Children all speak the universal language of "play!" I hope this helps you plan and relieves any mommy worries. Let me know if I can answer any questions for you as you book and plan your Disney cruise.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
