We're thinking about a cruise in Dec. of '09. Is this a good time of year to go? And will the parks be crowded the first week of Dec? On the 4 day cruise, what entertainment can we expect onboard? Thank you so much!

December is actually a nice time to cruise. Hurricane season has ended and the Bahamas enjoy pleasant weather with maximum lows around 66 and maximum highs around 78. Typically there is little rain.

From experience, we've found the parks to be delightful the first week of December. I will note that it is not as "quiet" as January. Also, I've noticed an increase in December crowds over the last 5-7 years. I think word is getting out that this is a great time to visit Walt Disney World! Your family will enjoy lower crowds and holiday festivities. Seeing WDW dressed up for the holidays is a Must See!

On the 4 night cruise, you can expect to enjoy Broadway-quality entertainment in the Walt Disney Theatre which includes The Golden Mickeys, Toy Story the Musical and Disney Dream shows. You'll also be treated to a movie night such as Bolt in 3-D. The 3-D technology is excellent.

In addition, you'll enjoy the Adventures Away party right before setting sail as well as the Pirates in the Caribbean night which include fireworks at sea. During the day and evening, you'll be able to choose from movies in the Buena Vista Theater or up on deck on the Ariel View screen. There will be such activities as trivia contests, ship tours, tasting seminars, bingo, karaoke, dancing, art auctions, pin trading, character greetings and so much more!

I hope you decide to try the Disney Wonder ship. It's truly a magical vacation!
