Hi we are thinking of coming to WDW in December 2024. My baby will turn 3 halfway through the holiday will we need to buy her a ticket for the parks?

Hi, Louise!  Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

I'm so excited to hear that you're thinking of visiting Walt Disney World Resort next year during the holiday season!  Walt Disney World Resort is always magical, but even more so with the twinkling Christmas tree lights, the aroma of gingerbread, and the snow on Main Street, U.S.A.  Experiencing the delights of the holiday season with your little one is sure to make your visit even more special!

Currently, the official Walt Disney World Resort policy is that theme park and special event tickets are not required for Guests under the age of 3.  However, once your little princess turns 3 years old, she will need a ticket to enter the theme parks or for special events such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  Since your daughter will be turning 3 during your visit, please plan accordingly when purchasing your tickets.

As you get ready for your holiday, be sure to check out our planDisney Guide to Planning your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation with Little Ones.  My fellow panelists, Leslie and LeAndra, have lots of great tips for visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth with the littlest Mouseketeers.  If you have additional questions as you prepare for your trip, please feel free to stop by planDisney again anytime!

    Have a magical day!
