We were thinking of coming down the first week in May for Star Wars day. Does Disney World/ Hollywood Studios do anything special for this day/weekend?

    Hi Erin,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

It’s hard to say whether there will be any special events at Walt Disney World Resort or Disney’s Hollywood Studios on the 4th of May (May the 4th be with you, a.k.a. “Star Wars Day”) this year. Last year, Star Wars Day was celebrated at Disneyland Park, but, from what I understand, there wasn’t really anything similar on the East Coast in 2016 (though there were some celebrations in past years).

That being said, every day is Star Wars Day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so there’s a good chance that, if there’s going to be a special celebration that day, it will be at that Theme Park. Keep checking the Disney Parks Blog as you get closer to your vacation. If there are going to be any special events, they’ll be announced there first.

    Have a Magical Day,
