We're thinking of coming to Disneyworld 12-2021 & I'd like to know the theme park ticket cancellation & refund policy. I'm worried that the park or the state of Florida will decide to implement vaccine requirements.

    Hi Kelly,

Thank you for stopping by planDisney and asking a question!

Theme park tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you purchase tickets, however, and are unable to use them, you may be able to apply the value of unused, expired tickets towards the purchase of new tickets to use on a later date. Review the ticket guidelines for more information.

If you book a vacation package that includes a Disney Resorts Collection hotel and theme park tickets, there is a cancellation policy. Before we became Annual Passholders, I would reserve vacation packages with theme park tickets because the cancellation policy offered a bit more flexibility. Since I book through the Walt Disney World Resort, when I have canceled a vacation package 30 days or more prior to arrival, I have been able to get my deposit refunded.

I suggest that you check the Special Offers and book a vacation package. When you receive the email to confirm your package, review the cancellation policy carefully and mark the final payment due date on your calendar. Given the time of year you plan to visit, the parks and resorts could be quite crowded. Once you book that vacation package, you can then make Disney Park Pass system reservations and, when your dining reservation window opens, you can make advanced dining reservations. It's so much better to have those reservations than to try to plan at the last-minute. Park Pass availability could change at any minute and dining reservation availability could be non-existent or quite limited.

Kelly, as you continue to make plans do some comparison pricing with vacation packages. Although my family prefers Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Contemporary Resort, we are also budget-conscious, so we have stayed at Disney's All-Star Movies and Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. When staying at a more expensive resort, we shorten the length of our trip.

Gather your crew and make some decisions! Trust me, time is of the essence! When you have a vacation package booked, you can make all of your dining reservations (for up to 10 days of your trip) on the first day that your dining reservation window opens. For new restaurants like EPCOT's Space 220, dining reservations are a must-do!

    Magic and memories,
