Hi, Robert!
On any given holiday, Walt Disney World will, in fact, be more crowded than during other times of the year. Families with school-aged children simply can't travel at other times of the year, making best use of school holidays by heading to WDW when they can do so.
If your little ones don't have a school schedule which will prevent a visit within a week or two of the Easter holiday this year, I suggest that you consider a trip a little further away from Easter. To give you an idea of how holidays affect crowd levels in WDW, take a look at what touringplans.com, a great unofficial crowd-predicting site, states about this Easter week. The average crowd level, out of 10, during that week is 10 out of 10. While there are plenty of ways to navigate through these crowds, if you can simply move your trip to start one week later, the crowd levels are estimated to be anywhere from 4 to 8 out of 10.
Keep in mind, too, that Guests can celebrate a special occasion, such as your little prince's 5th birthday, at any time, not just on that special day. Get a
Celebration Recognition Button (complimentary), book a special character meal and plan your trip around the birthday boy's favorites when the parks will be less crowded. Your trip can still be in celebration of his big day.
Send more questions as you think of them, Robert; we love to help!
