Thinking of combining a 1/2 day at AK & a visit to Blizzard Beach. If I brought an averaged sized beach bag with bathing suits, flip-flops & sunscreen for a family of 5 would the lockers at AK be large enough? Would 3-4 hours at BB be enough?

Hello Deena!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I often travel to the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks with a small bag carrying essentials for my young children.  While I have looked into locker storage, I have yet to feel the need to rid myself of the bag while enjoying the Theme Parks.  However, I have never thought of going directly from a Walt Disney World Resort Water Park directly to a Theme Park before.

Your plan is solid!  Especially considering buses to Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park are shared with those to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

As far as lockers, they are located directly to the right after entering trough the main gates.  There are two sizes of lockers:
    • Small - 11" X 9" x 16" at a cost of $8 per day plus a $5 key deposit; and,
    • Large - 17.5" x 12" x 16" at a cost of $10 per day plus a $5 key deposit.
The Large sized lockers appear to be pretty roomy, however I recommend you measure the bag while at home to be sure.

As far as how much time you is "enough" to spend at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, I usually spend 3-4 hours per visit with my family when we visit.  I visit with 2 young children however, and am cognizant of their exhaustion at that point.

Deena, you will have to make a judgment call based on how much and how long your family will want to spend at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park.  Personally, I find Water Parks more exhausting and draining than regular Theme Parks and would be wary of tiring my family out before getting to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

Have a Wet, then Wild Adventure!
