We are thinking of going to Chef Mickey's on our relax day for brunch. How long would it take to get there from AOA using the busses to MK and then monorail to Contemporary?

Hi there, Ashley, and welcome to planDisney! I’m so happy to discuss your next Walt Disney World vacation, especially that fabulous and much-needed rest day you will be enjoying! Some of our most memorable Disney moments as a family happen in the slow mornings and quiet afternoons. A brunch at Chef Mickey’s seems like just the ticket for such a day!

Regarding the transportation between Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Chef Mickey’s, your plan is brilliant! Disney Resort Bus Service will take you to Magic Kingdom Park, where you could board the Disney Resort Monorail for your short journey to Disney’s Contemporary Resort for your brunch! I would suggest that you make plans to board the bus at your Resort Hotel about 45 to 60 minutes before your Chef Mickey’s reservation time. Did you know that bus arrival times are available from the My Disney Experience Mobile App and also posted at the departure point from your Resort? Leaving this far in advance will allow for any delays and will make sure that you do not arrive late. Plus, in my experience, even if you arrive ahead of time, there is plenty to occupy your time at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, including wonderful shops and even a large arcade!

Ashley, I hope that this information helps you enjoy your most leisurely day of rest during your next amazing Walt Disney World vacation! Please do not hesitate to come back and see us again soon next time we can help you in your Disney planning and dreaming!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
