We are thinking of camping at Camp Wilderness Dec. 20-28th in a pop up tent camper. Any ideas and has any of the panel done this? Thanks

    Amy:

Although we own a Class C and not a pop-up, we have camped MANY times at the fort and are looking forward to another trip in about a month!

Fortunately for you, December is rather mild in Florida, and with a few extra blankets, even tent campers can enjoy the surroundings.  What our family has enjoyed the most, though, while camping during the Christmas holidays are the decorations on the campsites!  If I could suggest one thing, it would be to get into the spirit and bring as many decorations--especially those that are lit--so that you can be apart of the fun!

It sounds like this may be your first time camping at Disney's Fort Wilderness.  If so, I'd recommend you visiting www.disboards.com and checking out its camping forum.  You'll find lots of pictures and helpful hints from others like me who enjoy vacationing there.  And feel free to come back and ask me through my bio page any other questions as you plan your trip!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
