Hi! Thinking about booking Wild Africa Trek for our July 2016 trip, but DH takes meds that make him sensitive to sun/heat. Is there opportunity to be in the shade for parts of the tour or is the entire tour in the sun? Thanks for your help!

    Hi Kathleen!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

My family and I did the Wild Africa Trek last September.  It was the hottest week of the year and I was very worried about the heat and sun.  My teenage son takes acne medicine that also makes him sensitive, so I was concerned.

It worked out just fine, though.  You are very rarely in the direct sunlight.  Most of the paths are shaded. Lunch is served in a covered area, and you also spend lots of time in a covered safari truck.  We had a blast!

The Cast Members were great at providing us with plenty of water and cool towels.  I did make my son wear a hat, but he would have been fine even without it.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions as you prepare for your trip!
