I am thinking about booking the Wild Africa Trek for when we are in Disney in September, I was wondering if there is a minimum weight that you need to be. My yougest daughter will be old enough, but she is very petite. Thank You

Hi Jessica! The Animal Kingdom's Wild Africa Trek is indeed worth enjoying during a Disney vacation. There are a few restrictions for guests for this particular tour.  The minimum age is 9 years old and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The minimum height is 48" and the weight requirements are that guests must be at least 60 pounds and no more then 310 pounds. I hope your daughter will qualify for the tour but I need to warn you that they will weigh in all guests before the tour begins. Yes, even moms have to be weighed but it is done quietly and tastefully and not broadcast to anyone else.  The weight restrictions are in place for the safety of the guests during the tour as several times they will use tethers to cross bridges or lean over sides.  If your daughter does not meet the minimum standards this year maybe you can plan a special trip to include this tour on your next vacation to the World!
