Thinking of booking our trip for Sept 1-8. Is this a good time?? I know it will be hot, but crowd wise? Also- if it rains, is it usually short or an all day thing? (This is our very first trip to Disney)

    Hi Maggie!!!

Thank you so much for your question!!

I believe that you have selected a wonderful time to go to the Walt Disney World Resort!!!  School would have started back for most school systems around the country, so your crowds should be very, very manageable!!!  You will have Labor Day Weekend while you are there, but this weekend is still very doable.  Towards the end of the week you will have the Night of Joy Christian Music Concerts at the Magic Kingdom which will cause the Magic Kingdom to close early and possibly be crowded.  But other than that, you should be in great shape with the crowds.

You are correct that it will be hot and humid at the beginning of September.  The highs will average in the upper 80's and the lows in the lower 70's.  There is usually less rain in September than there is the rest of the summer months, but September is still within the Hurricane Season, so that can definitely affect your weather depending on what is going on.  The rain will be a hit or miss.  The only way that I could see it being an all day thing would be if a Hurricane or Tropical Storm were moving in.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!!

    Have a magical day!!
