Thinking of booking a trip for late November or possibly early December of next year. I've been told that at least one water park is open year round. Is it realistic to plan on spending a day at a water park then? How about the resort pool?

    Hi Jaime,

Yes, you will find that at least one of the Disney water parks will be open in November or December of next year.  The big question is whether you will find the weather suitable for swimming.  If enjoying a water park or your resort pool is an important part of your vacation, I suggest you pick November instead of December to increase the chance that it will be warm enough to swim.  I've been to Walt Disney World in early December several times and the temperatures are quite unpredictable.  One year we were wearing winter jackets and gloves.  There was no way anyone was getting me in a swimming pool even if it were heated and gorgeous!  The very next year, however, it was plenty warm enough to swim in early December.

Therefore, I'd plan to be flexible regarding swimming if you visit in late November/early December.  There's a good chance that you will be able to enjoy some time splashing around Disney property but I would have a back-up plan in case the weather doesn't cooperate.
