Thinking of booking last minute trip to Disney for mid-February. Dining reservations seem to be booked up. Any chance of getting reservations once we get there? Wondering if a lot of people cancel/change once they're there.

Hey Jaime!  I have booked several last minute vacations and I feel your pain.  Reservations for dining can be made up to 180 days in advance and some of the best restaurants can get booked up really quickly.

I do think that it is a possibility to get a reservation once you are there at certain restaurants.  What we have done in the past is arrive at the restaurant, like 'Ohana, before they open and get in the check in line.  I find that there are a few tables available first thing when the restaurant opens.  That is not at guarantee at any restaurant but it is a possibility.  I would also keep calling everyday up to your trip in hopes of landing a reservation.  People cancel their dining reservations everyday, you just have to be lucky enough to call at the right time.  I have been known to call a few times a day to try to get a spot at one of our favorite restaurants.

Good luck in your dining reservation quest!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
