I am thinking of booking at the Boardwalk in Feb 2009. We are eating breakfast at O'Hana's and Chef Mickeys. I am wondering if it is possible to get on the monorail at Epcot early in the morning to get to these places or do we need to take the buses?

Hi Melinda.   The Boardwalk is a very nice resort and the atmosphere is terrific.   We just spent a week there in June and had a great time.   If you choose to stay at the Boardwalk, you won't be disappointed.

As to how best to travel to the hotels around Magic Kingdom, buses will be your best bet at least for the morning.    In order to get to the Epcot Monorail from the Boardwalk, you will need to enter Epcot and walk across the park to the exit where the monorail starts.  This would be both time consuming and depending upon your reservation time, you may not be able to enter Epcot early enough.    Instead, you will want to take the Boardwalk buses to Magic Kingdom where you can transfer to the Resort Monorail for a quick trip to these resorts.

After your breakfast, you could choose to return using the Epcot Monorail if you plan to enjoy Epcot that day.   From this park, the Boardwalk is a short walk or boat ride.
