Greetings, Norma! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Your little princess is certainly in for the royal treatment. I think it's a wonderful idea to plan her magical transformation before dining with the princesses at
Ariel's Grotto. Since this character meal is only offered for breakfast and lunch, I suggest you make a morning appointment at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and allow yourself at least an hour after your appointment time to make it to your reservation at Ariel's Grotto. If you select the Castle Package which includes portraits, allow for additional time. Travel time from Disneyland Park to Ariel's Grotto will only take you a matter of minutes on foot since the parks are so close together. Just keep in mind that you will need a
Park Hopper ticket to visit both parks in one day.
As far as packages go, you really can't go wrong no matter which one you choose. I tend to prefer the Courtyard Package because you get the full experience with hairstyle, makeup, nail polish, tutu, and the t-shirt, but you have the option to bring your own gown. My daughter can be difficult to size and since inventory at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique may be limited, I like to ensure that she will be comfortable in a dress of her choosing that I know fits. But if you want the whole experience to be a surprise and to let your daughter pick a fabulous gown for her makeover, then The Castle Package is definitely for you.
I hope this information was helpful. Have a marvelous trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
