Hi! THinking of going in Aug. of 2012. We will have 3 adults and 2 children ( ages 7 & 11). Would we be better off with 2 connecting value rooms or 1 moderate room? 2 years ago we stayed at POR and the kids loved it. (especially the pool) Thanks!

    Hi Karen,

When I read your question, one thing came to my mind:  one bathroom or two bathrooms.  To me that would be the deciding factor.  I also think it would be nice to be able to have a separate room if someone wants some quiet time.  Another thing to keep in mind is that the trundle bed at Port Orleans Riverside is small making it necessary for the child who sleeps there to also be small.

Another thought I have is while we always enjoyed our stays at Port Orleans Riverside, we didn't like how many stops the bus made around the resort.  If you were to stay at Pop Century, it has only ONE bus stop! You'd also have few amenities at a value resort and only a counter service restaurant to choose from if that makes a difference.

I guess I'd look at the costs to see which fits your budget best and then weigh them against some of the details I pointed out to make the decision.  If I can help further, please let me know by clicking here.
