    Thinking of the aquaventure shore excursion at Atlantis. What are the advantages to booking with DCL, rather than going independently? Is this excursion worth the money considering we will having 2 days at Castaway Cay on 5 night Bah. cruise? THX!

    Welcome to the Moms Panel!  Atlantis is...well, stunning and It's certainly is worth taking a trip over to visit while in Nassau.

    The Atlantis Aquaventure is the ultimate in water park fun and aquarium exploration - but at $160 per adult I personally think it's a tad bit expensive.  Now that is not to say that there isn't value in booking directly through Disney Cruise Line, buy doing this you are assured to make it to and from your excursion within the time frame allotted...and you'll won't have to worry about "missing he boat".  You also have a DCL representative with you should any questions or concerns arise.

    Personally I am comfortable enough to grab a cab and do this one on my own, but if this is something you want to consider - do plenty of research!  You can not purchase a day pass that will grant you access to the water park/pool features - so many opt to book a day room at an adjacent resort that includes access to all that this port adventure includes.  Just keep in mind that you will be responsible for getting yourself back to the ship in plenty of time - so keep an eye on the time!

    The water features and slides are very different from anything you will experience at Castaway Cay - so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend doing both!
