Thinking about an Alaskan Cruise in 2013, we have cruised with Disney to bahamas, love the great kids clubs, but on an Alaskan what else would there be for a young 3 year old? Excursions? Concerned without the warm weather to swim, she will be bored.

    Hi, Amanda!

There is SO much to do on board and at ports on a Disney Alaskan cruise for your little princess, it will make your head swim -- in a good way! Take a look at the Videos produced by Disney Cruise Line which chronicle my family's 7-day adventure -- you'll notice that my little guys (and many others) were swimming and sliding in the warm waters on board the Disney Wonder. Plus, there were tons of activities on deck and inside the cozy ship for every age group...including the littlest cruisers.

For Alaskan Port Adventures, I recommend the following for young families:

    • White Pass Railway in Skagway
    • Skagway's Original Street Car Tour
    • Panning for Gold in Liarsville (Skagway)
    • Dog Sledding in Juneau
    • Whale Watching in Juneau
    • Totem Painting in Potlatch Park (Ketchikan)
    • The Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show in Ketchikan
So, you see, Amanda...Disney's Alaskan adventure is quite active and anything but boring -- which makes coming "home" to the Disney Wonder that much more relaxing and enjoyable for everyone. Let me know if you have more questions as you plan your family's voyage. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation.

    Bon voyage,

    Andi
