Hi do you think it's worth checking in online before you arrive? We are staying at Wilderness Lodge and have booked a woods view room? Any suggestions on which floors I should request? Thanks

    Hello Carly,

I know you are going to have a wonderful stay at Wilderness Lodge. It is my absolute favorite resort at Walt Disney World. The theming is fantastic and gives you a feeling like you have been magically transported to the Pacific Northwest from the moment you walk in the door.

I totally think it is worth it to check-in online prior to your arrival. This is especially the case if will be arriving in the middle of the day. Around 1pm to later in the afternoon is when most people arrive to check-in and the lines can get quite lengthy. There is a separate line for those that check-in online that makes the process much more expedited. By doing this online, you will have already verified your address, made any requests, left a credit card to use for incidentals (if you choose to), etc. If your room isn't ready at the time you check-in, they will give you all your other information, resort and park maps, and park tickets (if you booked a package and purchased tickets as part of your reservation). They can even text you when your room is ready if you want to hit the parks straight away. The bell stand can hold on to any other belongings that you don't want to take into the parks or walk around with.

In regards to floors at Wilderness Lodge, I think that is completely a personal preference. Many people like an upper floor while others prefer to be on a lower one. Personally, I like to be on an upper floor and had a room that was quite nice on the 4th floor when I was there last month. Keep in mind that your requests are not guaranteed and are based on availability.

    Have a magical trip!
