Hi Maureen and thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and sharing your questions with us!
My family has done this in the past but with Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. We made it but I was a total wreck by the time we arrived and I know my kiddos could sense it. Our connecting flight had a delay and I almost cried. We made it to the party on time but we were rushed. We arrived at our Resort hotel, threw our bags in our room and then dashed to the party.
If all of your travel plans go according to schedule, you will be fine. You will have time to drop your carry-on luggage in your room, freshen up a bit and then head to Magic Kingdom for a fun evening! If you have any glitches, it could be challenging.
I'm not trying to dissuade you from scheduling
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on the day you arrive. It's a PERFECT way to start your vacation! However, if there is another day you can schedule it during your vacation, you might consider it, especially when two very special 5 and 8 year olds will be expecting Halloween fun at Magic Kingdom.
Have you stayed at Disney's Beach Club Resort
before? You are going to love it! It's my son's favorite Resort hotel! Stormalong Bay is so much fun! It has a sand-bottomed pool (my family refers to the sand as "magic Disney sand"), a 230-foot-long waterslide and a lazy river. We have spent several hours and many days enjoying the sand-bottomed pool.
Beaches and Cream Soda Shop is another must do. Yummy ice cream and home of the Kitchen Sink (scoops of 5 types of ice cream covered in every topping they have). You might start smaller and work your way up but you will love it all. Enjoy!!!
