Hello there, Donald Scott! Thank you for cruising my way with your question. I'd be happy to assist you to the best of my abilities as you collect your cruise photos. Those photos are special treasures, capturing wonderful memories that are sure to last a lifetime! Let's unearth those treasures!
To begin with, I'm so sorry that you are having a less than magical time downloading your photos! I wish that I had a magic wand to wave to fix the watermarks. Instead, I can share some ideas with you as you try and troubleshoot the issue.
As you have successfully linked your Castaway ID to your Disney Profile, you've mastered the first step to retrieving your photos. I do know that it can take up to 60 minutes after claiming the photos to see the watermarks disappear. I was also informed by a Crew Member on a recent cruise that it's important that the guest who added the
photo package to their account is the one that is logged into the site and entering their Castaway Club ID to link the photos. Photos cannot be downloaded by other guests even if they are sharing a stateroom.
One final recommendation would be to clear your cache and cookies on your web browser and then try again to view your photos. If you are still unable to download your pictures without the watermarks, I'm so sorry! I wish I had a carpet bag full of tricks up my sleeve like Mary Poppins, but alas, I've reached the end of my suggestions. If the problem is still not solved, please send an email to dcl.guest.communications@disneycruise.com.
I'm wishing upon a star that by now your treasured photos are downloaded onto your device. Thank you again for reaching out to me, and I hope I can be of further assistance if you have any needs in the future. My pals and I at planDisney are happy to help you plan future vacations at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, or onboard the Disney Cruise Line.
Have a day full of magic,
Adrianna
