I think we are going to stay at the wildness cabins I think it is. How far is that from the parks and how do I get to the parks and do i have to pay to take a bus or train or whatever they have..we have never been there before so dont know how it works.

    Hi Joni!

The Fort Wilderness cabins are close to all the parks, especially Magic Kingdom!  Every loop in the campground has a bus stop close by.  To get to the Magic Kingdom, you will hop a bus outside of your loop and take it to the marina.  From there, you will take a ferry boat straight over to the Magic Kingdom…it’s about a 5-10 minute boat ride.  To get to Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney or either of the water parks, you will board a Fort Wilderness bus and take it to the bus stop by the check-in center.  You will transfer to a bus marked for the location of your destination.  You can also take a Fort Wilderness bus to get to either Trading Posts or the pools.

Have you considered renting a golf cart while staying in the cabins?  Fort Wilderness rents super fun golf carts for use within the campground.  This will eliminate the need to ride the bus within the resort.  You can take the golf cart and park it at the marina all day, or park it up at the front if going anywhere other than the Magic Kingdom.  To get pricing on golf carts or to make a reservation, call (407) 824-2742.

    Have a magical day!
