I think T Rex Cafe looks like a fun place to eat, but my son will only be 19 mo when we go. Will this be fun for him? Are there rooms that are kid friendly, is there a way we can all win? Thanks!

    Hi Kendra ~

My boys love T-Rex and it is always a must do at Downtown Disney for us. Your son will love playing in the Paleo Zone and shopping in the Dino-Store.

T-Rex is kid friendly but I will say this - it is a little loud. If your son is sensitive to noise, it may not be the best place for him. We found that the ice cavern room is a little less noisy. The ice changes colors which is pretty cool. Another bonus is that it is located near the restrooms which is convenient with kids.  However, if you want to see the meteor showers that take place about every 20 minutes, it doesn't provide the best view of it in the ice cavern.

If your son likes dinosaurs, he will love T-Rex. The life-size dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals come to life during meals. Kids are fascinated with them. You are free to roam around to all of the themed rooms to look and take pictures. Be sure to stop by the tank with the luminescent jellyfish. They are beautiful.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
