    Myra from Greater Manchester Asked

Do you think that on my return visit to a Disney Resort I could ask have they found the magic band I had upgraded but wasn't there upon check in. Who would I speak to about this Cinderella Birthday band that was lost as it was a huge disappoint for me?

    Hello Myra,

Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for bringing me such an interesting question.  As an avid lover of MagicBands myself, I can completely relate to your enquiry and will try and do my very best to assist you today.

On your behalf Myra, I've undertaken a little online research concerning the exclusive pre-order Cinderella Birthday MagicBand which you carefully selected for a previous holiday to Walt Disney World Resort.  My findings showed that to the very best of my current knowledge, the pre-order MagicBand offerings are exclusive, and therefore aren't usually seen for sale within the merchandise Stores that stock MagicBands at Walt Disney World Resort

Additionally, as I'm sure you'll already be aware, from January 1st, 2021, MagicBands ceased to be provided as complimentary items upon check-in to a Disney Resorts Collection hotel.  However, I must tell you that I'm looking forward to trying out the new Disney MagicMobile Service when I next visit the most magical place on earth!

Disney MagicMobile Service works when Guests
create a digital pass on their eligible smart devices which then seamlessly connects to the My Disney Experience Mobile App to gain access to all your linked Disney vacation entitlements.  Most features on the Disney MagicMobile Service are available by simply holding your eligible smart device near to an access point, just as you would do with a MagicBand... And, then "tah-da!" it works, just like magic!

Plus, if your Apple device is set in Express Mode, you won’t even need to unlock it in order to use the Disney MagicMobile Service!

I understand that this may not be the news about your MagicBand that you were hoping to hear Myra, but I do have a couple of alternative suggestions for you to try -

     - During your May 2022 jolly holiday to Walt Disney World Resort, it would never hurt to stop by any Guest Relations location to make some general enquires with Cast Members about perhaps sourcing a bibbidi bobbidi boo alternative to the original Cinderella Birthday MagicBand from your previous Disney trip.  After all, new and super cute designs are being added to the MagicBand collections all the time.

     - If you so wish you could always contact a helpful Cast Member concerning your Cinderella Birthday MagicBand via this handy Contact Us email form

If you should have any further questions for me about planning towards what's sure to be a practically perfect in every way holiday to Walt Disney World Resort in 2022.  Then please do pop back to planDisney where I'll always be happy to help you wherever possible!

Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
