I think I read somewhere that metal water bottles were no allowed. Is this correct? Plastic water bottles just don't work as well as metal and we have two metal ones we have been using for years. Thank you

It's great to see you here today at planDisney, Bob!

There is so much ground to cover at Walt Disney World Resort, and staying hydrated is very important. As a Florida resident, you definitely know how hot it can get, even well into the last few months of the year, and keeping your body going with lots of water every day really does help ensure that your vacation is comfortable, safe, and fun! I'm pleased to tell you that you are most certainly welcome to bring your metal water bottle along with you. I have a metal bottle that I clip to my backpack to bring into the parks with me and it helps keep my water cold all day. In fact, you can pretty much bring whatever container works best for you, as long as it isn't made of glass.

Since we're talking about Theme Park essentials, I thought I'd give you a few pro tips for packing your backpack! I always bring my water bottle, a waterproof jacket, extra sunscreen, and an extra pair of socks in case mine get wet. This year, I've also begun packing a few extra cloth face masks in case I need to change the one I'm wearing. A whole bunch of brand new Disney-themed masks were just released on shopDisney and there are exclusive designs available in the Theme Parks as well, so keep your eyes open for masks with your favorite Disney Characters on them!

    Have a magical day, Bob!
