Do you think that push stroller wagons (like wonderfold) will be allowed in the near future? We are planning a trip for October, and my son has severe anxiety. The one that I have fits within Disney’s stroller size requirements.

    Hi Dori!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney! You're planning to visit the "Most Magical Place on Earth" during a fantastic time of year. I love the autumn decorations throughout the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, and Disney Springs! Plus, you'll love the tasty autumn treats throughout the resort.

As you know, per the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, wagons and stroller wagons are not permitted in the theme parks, regardless of if they are pushed or pulled and regardless of their dimensions. Unfortunately, we haven't heard anything about a change to the policy, so I would recommend that you plan on bringing a different option for your son during your trip. I also recommend that you keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog so you can be aware of any updates to the policy that are made before your trip!

A few years ago, I needed to transition my boys to a new stroller for our Walt Disney World Resort vacation and I made sure to give us plenty of time to make the switch. I tried to use it for several shorter trips closer to home before our big vacation. We went to our local zoo, walked around our neighborhood, and ran errands using our new stroller to make sure that everyone was comfy in our new ride. This may help both of you be prepared for your magical vacation!

Be sure to plan a visit to the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival during your October vacation as it's my favorite special event at Walt Disney World Resort! Since your son has anxiety, I recommend that you visit the festival during the week, if possible, and avoid Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. In my experience, the festival is generally busier during the weekends and you and your son may enjoy the festival more with lighter crowds!

Feel free to come back to see us if we can help you with additional questions. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
