Hi there! I think part of the fun is planning the trip, we are aiming for 2015. Thinking about Port Orleans-is Riverside or French Quarter better? 3 ppl-husband, me and our daughter age 10 at the time. Thanks.

    Hi Stacy,

I agree! Planning a Disney vacation is half the fun!

Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter are both great resorts. If your daughter is a princess fan, I recommend that you reserve a Royal Room at Port Orleans Riverside (scroll down to the bottom of the page that I linked to). Those beautiful rooms feature a special fireworks display on the headboard and lots of extra fun touches.

Otherwise, I recommend Port Orleans French Quarter. This resort is much smaller and compact. The dining locations and pool are easy to get to from all rooms. I really enjoy the jazz music and Mardi Gras atmosphere. Your daughter would enjoy the swimming pool and slide at either of the resorts.

Wishing you a wonderful vacation. Please let me know if I can assist you further,
