Hi there, Tracy! Welcome back to planDisney!
World of Color always makes my must-do list during a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. It's Disney storytelling at its finest through water, lights, music, projections ... and, of course, magic! I think I have some good news for you! I just took a peek at the
World of Color Dessert Party availability for your dates, and I am seeing some reservations! It looks like there are two performances every evening during your visit, which doubles your chances of securing a spot! While I don't know the size of your party when I searched for a table for two, I was able to see lots of availability. If you have a big group and are having difficulty finding openings, I would recommend breaking your group down into smaller parties of 2-4. You are just going to love this experience!
I'm sending a little pixie dust your way in the hope that you are able to book the World of Color Dessert Party ... and I have a few tips and tricks for you once you arrive! My best advice is to arrive at check-in just before your reservation time, which is typically about an hour ahead of the performance. As with most Disney experiences, arriving early has its benefits! The check-in location is a bit unexpected, so I like to flag this to Guests - it's right by the Eureka water wheel near the
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail which is set a bit back from the entrance to the World of Color viewing areas. Once you arrive, you'll be asked if you prefer a front row, low-top table or a back row, high-top table. When my fellow panelist
Carrie and I went a few months ago, we loved the high-top option! While you will enjoy a reserved spot and a great view no matter what, there is a viewing area for other Guests between where the dessert party is located and the actual show, so the high-top gives you a bit of elevation above the crowd. You'll get to choose from an assortment of drinks, including a very cute rainbow sprinkle-rimmed cocktail, and then sit back and enjoy your sweets and treats until the show starts!
To make sure that memory lasts a lifetime, you can ask your server to snap a quick photo of your group. When you arrive early, there are fewer crowds in the background and it makes for a fabulous view of
Pixar Pier lit up against the night sky!
Tracy, I sure hope this was helpful in your planning! While I love celebrating the seasons at the
Disneyland Resort, your trip is perfectly timed between Halloween Time sailing away and just before the holidays arrive, so you may find a bit of a reprieve in the crowd levels! Enjoy every moment and be sure to take a few minutes here and there to let the magic settle in around you. If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
Magic awaits!
