Do you think the last week of Sept 2009 will be more crowded due to free dining? I can move to first week of October, but touringplans.com shows the crowd levels about the same. Thanks.

    Carole:

Our family has been the last week of September to enjoy free dining, and yes, it was more "crowded" than I had expected for Value Season but certainly not the kind of crowded you'd expect in the summer or during spring break!

Value Season ends October 1 and room rates increase, which means Disney can command the higher price from visitors for the Food & Wine festival that begins September 25 and the nicer weather that October brings.

For the money saved from free dining and a value-rate room, I'd stick with your dates in September.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
