What do you think of Kona Cafe? We're staying at the Poly & made ADR for Ohana and the Spirit of Aloha. I haven't heard much about Kona Cafe except it's not very busy and we could probably just walk in. How is the food?

We ate dinner there last year during our September trip and enjoyed the food.  We all really liked that there were some unique choices at Kona, including meatless dishes.  When the meals were presented the portions were all quite large and everything looked fantastic.  The taste didn't disappoint either.  Judging on food alone, I'd say that the Kona Cafe is a great choice.  The only hesitation I have is that the dining area can be VERY loud and if you're hoping to have an audible conversation with your family, this might not be the best choice.  Of course, the noise level may be much better during breakfast or dinner.  We dined during prime dinner hours when things were quite hectic.

And, while Kona Cafe isn't as popular as it's neighboring 'Ohana, it can still fill up so it certainly wouldn't hurt to make reservations if you really want to give it a try!
