Ahoy there Sara, and welcome aboard planDisney! I’m so excited that you’re planning on filling the summer of 2023 with the magic of Walt Disney World Resort as well as on a cruise on the
Disney Wish. It’s such an exciting time as the Disney Cruise Line fleet expands with its Castle on the Sea!
While we’ve learned a great deal about some of the exciting experiences, spaces, activities, and innovations coming to the Disney Wish, there is still much that we have yet to discover! From three new main dining rooms, adult-exclusive dining from the mind of Chef Arnaud Lallement, luxurious staterooms, a grand hall, fantastic youth clubs, sparkling pools, Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge, the AquaMouse, and more - it’s difficult to believe there we still know so little about what is to be the largest ship in the fleet!
Like you, I’ve definitely thought
MagicBands would be incredibly at-home on the Disney Cruise Line ships! The convenience they offer, the personalization possibilities, and the peace of mind that the entire “world” is at your fingertips…er…around your wrist, would make cruising even more relaxing! That being said, we’ll just have to wait and see what the incredible team of Imagineers has created for us all when we get our first chance to climb aboard and experience the Disney Wish in all its glory!
It’s for those reasons, then, that I wouldn’t let MagicBands’ use on the Disney Wish be the determining factor on whether you decide to use them for the Walt Disney World Resort portion of your holiday! While international Guests must wait to purchase until on-property, in my opinion, park days are made all the more enjoyable when you have one less card to keep track of and can simply use a twist of the wrist to tap into the parks, pay at shops, and more! Oh, and we can’t forget that
MagicBand+ is scheduled to be launched later this year as well with expanded capabilities and exciting details coming soon!
Still, should you decide against a MagicBand - or we learn that there will not be integration on the Disney Wish, the magic can still be right in your pocket with
MagicMobile on your compatible mobile device!
