I think I heard that there is some way the characters can know your child's name. How can I make this happen? Thanks!

    Hi Jennifer,

I'm not really sure what you're asking. Characters such as Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto (anyone with a mask) don't speak, so they wouldn't really need to know your child's name. As far as the princesses, there are a couple of things you can try. You can speak to the cast member who escorts you to the character and have her whisper your child's name in the characters ear. I don't know how effective that one is.

I think your best bet is to stop by guest relations and get an "I'm Celebrating" button. A cast member will write your child's name on the button so it's easy for everyone to see. These buttons are available for a variety of occasions including birthdays, first visits, or even a generic "I'm Celebrating" button.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
