Hi! Do you think the Haunted Mansion, Tower of Terror and the Dinosaur ride are too scary for my 7 year old son?

    Hi Beth!

Honestly, I have seen 7 year olds (and younger!) go on these attractions without hesitation and absolutely love them!  However every child is different.  Is your son usually afraid of the darkness?  Do things scare him easily?  How is he with heights?  Depending on how you answer these questions will depend on whether he would enjoy the attractions.

The Disney website has a description and mini-video of each of the attractions you are asking about.  You may want to review the links below with your son and get an idea if this is something he'd be willing to try.

Information on Dinosaur can be found here.  This attraction is on the intense side and the height requirement is 40 inches.  (I can tell you I was even scared on this one!)  Not sure I will go back on this one anytime soon.  :)

Information of Tower of Terror can be found here.  This attraction also has a height requirement of 40 inches and contains many drops and plunges in almost total darkness.  If your son decides to try Tower of Terror make sure he doesn't eat just before getting on.

Information on the Haunted Mansion can be found here.  I would say by far this is the most tame out of the three you listed.  So this would probably be a good one to try (if he is willing) before attempting the other two.  There is no height requirement for this attraction.

I hope this information helps with your decision.  Diane  :)
