Hi Elaine! Welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for bringing your question to me! I love visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort in the fall with all the festive decorations on display. My favorite is walking down Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom Park and seeing the Mickey-shaped pumpkins. They are the cutest!
Currently, the
face covering guidelines state that all Guests ages 2 and up must wear them indoors, including all attractions and queues, merchandise locations, dining locations (unless actively eating or drinking), etc, but they are optional in outdoor common areas. This may change between now and October, however, so make sure to keep an eye on the face covering guidelines that I linked for you above, as well as on the
Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information.
Character dining has been returning to the Most Magical Place on Earth over the past few months and I am loving it! Dining with Characters is available now at
Garden Grill Restaurant,
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera,
Chef Mickey's, and
Hollywood & Vine. I have my fingers crossed that there will be more Character dining experiences that return over the next few months. Again, keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog is the best way to see the announcements during the phased reopening of our happy place!
I hope you have the BEST vacation, Elaine! Please return with any planning questions you have as you prepare for your October visit.
