    Hello, do you think it is doable to eat at Whispering Canyon at 5pm and make it to the Campfire by 7:30 the latest? What kind of hurdles are we going to face to get from the Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness for the campfire via Disney's buses/boats.

    Hi Kristin,

    Whispering Canyon Cafe is one of my family's favorite places to end a perfect Disney day.  Dining here is quite an adventure, and your family is sure to have a great time.  From Wilderness Lodge, you can get to Fort Wilderness Campground, where the nightly campfire and sing-along is held by taking a boat.  When you leave the restaurant, walk past the pool area to the pier.   Once you arrive at  Fort Wilderness boat dock , you'll need to make your way to  Meadow Trading Post.  This is a rather long walk, so, as an alternative, I'd recommend hopping on the internal bus system and telling the driver that you want to get off at the Meadow Trading Post for the campfire. I would allow approximately 45-50 minutes for the entire trip.  If you can finish up at Whispering Canyon shortly after 6pm, you should make it with no problem.  If you'd prefer a more leisurely dinner, you may want to schedule the campfire for another evening.
