How much do you think is a average for suviners? I am taking 8 children and need some sort of idea...

    Hi Christy,

You will be able to find souvenirs in a variety of price ranges, from a few dollars for a magnet, stickers, etc. up.  Limited edition artwork, artist cells, etc. can be thousands of dollars.  One of the things we like to use as souvenirs are the things we get during our vacation that don't cost anything extra.  An example is the plastic "tubs" from popcorn purchased in the park.  These cute containers have Disney characters on them, and are great for storing crayons, markers and even legos when you get home.  Also, some of the specialty children's drinks have little "glowing characters" (Tinkerbell, Cars, etc) that work on a battery and can be taken home.  You'll also find that Cast Members give out stickers rather liberally at different places around the parks.  These are great "free" souvenirs too.  Finally, we keep our maps and create our own scrap books as a family when we get back home.

Another cost effective strategy is stopping at a local store for souvenirs.  Many of the supermarkets and chain stores carry Disney items for far less than you can find in the parks. If anyone in your group is making a "supermarket" run, you can have them pick up a few treats for your kids.

I hope you have a wonderful trip!
