I think I already know the answer, but I thought I'd ask anyways. Do you need to stay at a Disney resort to get the dining plan? Or can you buy one night at a Disney property and get the meal plan for the amount of days your tickets are for?

    Hi Kristin!

Unfortunately, Guests need to be staying at Walt Disney World Resort to be able to purchase a Disney Dining Plan.  Also the way that the Disney Dining Plans work at Walt Disney World is that you have to purchase a Disney Dining Plan for every member of your traveling party (those people in the room with you) for every night of your stay in the Walt Disney World Resort. For example, if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort for 4 nights, then every one staying in the room with you will have to have the same Disney Dining Plan for the 4 nights (you are not permitted to just pick and choose to have the Disney Dining Plan for only 2 of the 4 nights). The Disney Dining Plan is not connected to your Magic Your Way Tickets, but how many nights you stay in a Walt Disney World Resort.  So in your case, if you stay one night in a Walt Disney World Resort and purchase the a Disney Dining Plan, then you will have the Disney Dining Plan for 1 day which begins at check in to your Walt Disney World Resort and ends at midnight the next day.  If you desire to have the Disney Dining Plan for more days during your vacation, then you will need to book more nights at a Walt Disney World Resort and purchase more days of a Disney Dining Plan.

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
