Hi there, Lupe. Welcome to planDisney!
Oh, can you hear that? It sounds like magic is calling you! I am so excited you are planning your first trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth with your son! As a "Fairy Grandmother" with little Mouseketeer grandchildren, I'm ready to help you with a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!
I'm taking my girls to Disney next month, and meeting their favorite characters is a must! There's something special about one-on-one character time during Character Dining. Your son could meet Mickey and his pals at
Chef Mickey's, dance with Goofy at Cape May Café, bounce with Tigger and Winnie the Pooh at
The Crystal Palace, or have a wild time with Donald Duck at Tusker House. These meals are very popular, so be sure to make your reservations 60 days in advance.
Speaking of characters, download the
My Disney Experience app because this handy-dandy Mouseketool has a feature that allows you to see when and where characters greet Guests in the parks.
There are several must-do attractions in each theme park. At Hollywood Studios, visit
Toy Story Land and explore all the rootin' tootin' fun! Don't miss Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, where adventure awaits at every turn. Additionally, make sure to meet some of your favorite Pixar characters while you're there!
At Animal Kingdom, be ready to roar at the
Festival of the Lion King show. Also, prepare to explore the Harambe Wildlife Reserve on
Kilimanjaro Safaris. Keep your camera handy, as you might spot a giraffe or zebra walking right by your open-air truck!
At EPCOT, your son can enjoy attractions such as
Turtle Talk with Crush, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, Frozen Ever After, and get those wiggles out at several play areas around the park!
If you only visit one park, make it Magic Kingdom—the classic Disney experience. Be sure to take a picture in front of Cinderella Castle. You'll find so many family-friendly attractions that your son will adore, such as
Pirates of the Caribbean, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and "it's a small world." Don't miss the new nighttime parade called
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, where favorite characters can wave to your son!
Lupe, I noticed you will be here at the beginning of the Christmas holiday. Consider a visit to
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. This special ticketed event unwraps shorter wait times, complimentary Christmas cookies, holiday shows, and a parade with Santa Claus.
Take some fun time with your son and explore the Walt Disney World website to see what your son wants to do, and I know you'll plan the perfect vacation. Please stop by planDisney with all your questions as you're planning. We'll be here to help!
Magical Memories,
Shonette
