Greetings and a warm planDisney welcome to you, Maily. We're so glad you're here and brought this question to us.
There are many many things that you can do with a
MagicBand+ and your phone in hand at the Disneyland Resort. On the flip side, there are plenty of things that you can do without either of these things. In fact, I love the idea of having a technology-free (or limited) day to fully immerse myself and get lost in the magic.
So let's dive in and see what we can come up with. When it comes to your theme park ticket, once a Cast Member scans you into the park, you will receive a paper ticket (if not using a Magic Key Pass) that you can use to come and go as you please throughout the day and throughout your stay for park entry. It also makes a nice little keepsake from your visit.
If you're planning on having any of the fabulous
Disney PhotoPass Photographers capture your magical memories, you can ask for a
Disney PhotoPass Card. All of your digital images will be linked to this unique ID and you can view your memories online when you get home. The card is also reusable for as many times as you want.
What about attraction wait times? We've got you covered, Maily. There is a digital wait time board located near Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe in Disneyland Park and one located in Disney California Adventure Park near the entrance of Avengers Campus. No need to have a phone to see what attraction you want to tackle next.
These are just a few ideas that come to mind when having a low-tech (or no-tech) day in the parks. Otherwise, I've been known to just wander around and see where the wind takes me. Oftentimes, days like this end up being some of my most memorable and best Disney days.
I hope I was able to give you some ideas to help get you started for your upcoming visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, Maily. If you have other questions or if you had something else in mind, please come back to ask us. I wish you a most magical and carefree visit!
Adventure is out there!
