With so many things to see and never enough time, can you tell me if both waterparks are similiar? If we had to narrow it down to spending time in just ONE waterpark, which would you recommend?

This will depend on your family's preference for slides as well as the ages in your traveling party.

We just returned from WDW and my 8-year old son favored Blizzard Beach due to the pre-teen area, Ski Patrol Training Camp. He loved the signs that said "adults must be accompanied by a child" at the entrance to this area. I thought the bobbing wave pool, Melt-Away Bay, was fun but so much smaller than Typhoon Lagoon's wave pool. The lazy river at Blizzard Beach was relaxing but overall the adults in our party enjoyed Typhoon Lagoon more due to the tropical atmosphere and the surf pool. I enjoyed the lazy rivers at both parks.

Both parks are beautiful, fun and can be relaxing too.
